The author likes Brussels sprouts.

"Normal" people may think that getting a fresh stalk of Brussels sprouts is a gag Christmas gift, but to me it is quite a treat.

I do not know why I like Brussels sprouts, but I have come to realize that they are perfect food.

Obviously, Brussels sprouts are nutritous, low in calories, ready to eat (you can eat them raw), and high in fiber. But most interestingly, most of them are naturally bite sized.

The Creator saw fit to give us at least one vegetable that does not have to be sliced, mashed or grouped together before placing in the mouth.

I do not remember ever seeing or eating Brussels sprouts as a kid and that is a good thing because having seen one I would have run away to hide under my bed. Nevertheless, at some point I discovered them and soon began to appreciate Brussels sprouts devine nature.

Every time I eat Brussels sprouts, I imagine that God is pleased that his perfect food is appreciated.

What about cabbage? Cabbage is obviously God's gift to elephants.

WIERD WAYS TO EAT BRUSSELS SPROUTS

  1. Cook the Brussels sprouts, then mix them up with habenero or jalepeno yellow mustard before serving (my favorite), or
  2. Pan fry them in oil with cracked black pepper and mustard seed.

You do not need a recipe to cook the perfect food, you need inspiration.
