The thing between Man's front legs is a vice-grip which is gripping a cigar-sized rawhide chew.
When we first got Sweetie Pie (the "brown thing" in the picture), I attempted to hold her in my lap and let her chew on a rawhide chew. Man got jealous and took the chew away from her. I had stopped giving him little chewies 6 months ago and apparently he missed them.
So now, in the morning, I set up two vice-grips, but Sweetie will not chew her own. Instead, she tries get ManDog's chew, and he growls ferociously at her. She cowers briefly, and then persists.
I think that she is slowly realizing that Doober winds up with two chews and she none if she continues hounding him.
